A screen polishing machine is a one-time purchase; consumables are the ongoing cost that decides your true cost per polished screen. This page lists every consumable a CITEE polishing line uses, what it does, when to replace it, and how to plan supply for your monthly volume. All items are available factory-direct so production is never paused waiting on spares.
The complete consumables list
- Cerium-oxide polishing powder / 500 g bottle: mixed with water to form the polishing slurry. The 500 g bottle suits smaller shops; the 5 kg bag is the economical format for continuous factory use.
- Replacement polishing blanket: the wearable surface that does the fine finishing; it wears with operating hours and must be replaced to keep finish quality consistent.
- Replacement rubber rollers: drive and support moving parts; worn rollers affect pressure consistency and finish.
- UV waterproof sealing glue: applied (manually or with the automatic glue dispenser) to seal ports, speakers and buttons before the device enters the wet process.
- Phone holding / waterproof molds: model-specific jigs that hold and seal each device; add new molds as your supported model list grows.
- Oleophobic anti-fingerprint coating: restores the oil-resistant layer that polishing removes, returning the smooth, fingerprint-resistant feel buyers expect.
The hidden cost of cheap consumables
Low-grade powder, inconsistent blankets or weak sealing glue show up as rework, not savings: swirl marks, hazy finish, repeat cycles, and — in the worst case — liquid damage from a failed seal. Because consumables recur with every batch, even a small jump in scrap rate dwarfs the unit-price saving. Standardize on matched, purpose-made consumables and track usage per device.
Planning supply by workload
Consumption scales with the number of devices processed, not calendar time. Rather than quote generic figures, we plan consumables around your monthly refurbishment volume and station count — including the right powder pack size, blanket/roller spares to hold, and glue/coating quantities. Higher-volume lines should hold safety stock of the highest-turnover items (powder and blankets) to avoid line stoppage. Send your monthly volume and machine model for a tailored consumables plan.
Operating hints that reduce consumables burn
- Mix powder to the recommended ratio and keep water circulation clean — dirty slurry accelerates blanket wear.
- Never skip or rush waterproofing; a proper seal is cheaper than a damaged device.
- Replace blankets and rollers on a schedule based on operating hours, not only after quality drops.
- Always reapply oleophobic coating after polishing — skipping it creates returns from buyers expecting a factory-feel screen.
Frequently asked questions
Cerium-oxide polishing powder, replacement polishing blankets, rubber rollers, UV waterproof sealing glue, model-specific holding/waterproof molds, and oleophobic anti-fingerprint coating. CITEE supplies all of them factory-direct.
Replacement is based on operating hours and workload rather than a fixed calendar period, and also depends on powder quality and water cleanliness. Track finish quality and replace on a schedule before haze or swirl marks appear. We can recommend a plan for your volume.
Yes, the process removes the factory oil-resistant layer, so an oleophobic anti-fingerprint coating should be reapplied after polishing to restore the smooth, fingerprint-resistant feel.
The wet process uses circulating water and slurry. UV waterproof glue and model-specific molds seal the charging port, speakers and buttons to prevent liquid damage.
Yes. Most buyers bundle an initial consumables kit with the machine and then reorder by workload. Tell us your monthly refurbishment volume and we will prepare a kit and ongoing supply plan with the PI.
